Today we explore the most beautiful coast of Basilicata. Even though the region has only 26km of coastline on the Tyrrhenian Sea, it is an
absolutely spectacular stretch of road. Immediately behind it rise the mountains of Monte Sirino massive, and Maratea Borgo is nestled in it.

Today’s circular hike to the Redentore, a 21 m high statue of Christ begins here from the center of Maratea. The Redeemer spreads his arms in a protective and blessing way. From here you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Gulf of Policastro. The most magical moment is the sunset over the sea.
